The SLAM Conference: The P Word with Sam Casanova
In this workshop, participants are to reflect on the value of discussing PLEASURE in our classrooms and learning spaces. There's often a fear of discussing pleasure with young people when there doesn't need to be. Pleasure is a measure of safety. Pleasure is a tool of harm reduction. Please is a tactic collective liberation. Our bodies are not only sites for oppression, harm and violence--but instead, sites for love, pleasure and liberation. During our time together, participants will explore strategies, activities and tactics to incorporate the p-word into our classrooms and learning spaces.
